Pre-book a private saloon for €60–80. Driver waits at arrivals with a placard, drives direct to your treehouse pension in Olympos or your beachside pension in Çıralı. 1h30, 80 km, including the 7 km descent off the D400. Walk-up taxi runs €120–160.
The Antalya → Olympos dolmuş via Kemer is workable on a tight budget (~€10) but takes 3 hours with bag changes — fine solo, painful with a partner and luggage. For two+ travellers, the pre-booked saloon is the obvious choice.

What's included
Meet-and-greet at arrivals
Driver waits with a placard at the Antalya Airport arrivals exit. 60–90 min wait time included. Antalya arrivals can take longer than Dalaman due to higher passenger volumes; operators are familiar with this.
Direct pension drop — Olympos or Çıralı
Same fare for either village. Communicate the pension name at booking — Kadir’s Top Tree Houses, Bayram’s, Saban Pansion (Olympos) and Olympos Lodge, Hotel Canada, Arcadia (Çıralı) are all known to operators.
Mt Chimaera detour on request
Yanartaş (Mt Chimaera, the eternal flames) is a 10 min drive + 30 min walk uphill from Çıralı. Most travellers visit in the evening from their pension. Detour direct from airport: small surcharge of €10–15.
Bottled water + child seats
Water included. Child or booster seats free on request when pre-booked — flag at the time of booking.
Drop-off variants
| Drop-off | Drive time from AYT | Saloon price |
|---|---|---|
| Olympos village (treehouses) | 1h30 | €60–80 |
| Çıralı (beachside pensions) | 1h30 | €60–80 |
| Yanartaş / Mt Chimaera car park | 1h35 | €70–95 |
| Adrasan (15 min past Olympos) | 1h45 | €75–100 |
| Kemer (35 min before Olympos) | 55 min | €40–60 |
| Tekirova (between Kemer + Olympos) | 1h10 | €50–70 |
Olympos is also a Lycian Way Stage 17–18 trailhead. Many through-hikers use this transfer to start, end, or restart their walk; it’s the quickest way from Antalya Airport to the eastern Lycian Way.
The route
Antalya Airport (AYT) sits on the city’s east side. The standard route to Olympos:
- Exit airport on the access road (5 min) onto the airport ring road / D400.
- D400 west around Antalya city (15 min — toll-free expressway around the urban centre).
- D400 south-west through Konyaaltı + the Beydağları forested coast (20 min).
- D400 through Kemer + Tekirova (30 min) — coastal resort towns en route.
- Past Tekirova, signed turn-off for “Olympos” / “Çıralı” on the right (5 min descent on a side road, 7 km).
Total ~1h30 door-to-door. Add 20–30 min for July–August Saturday peak through Kemer.
What to ask before you book
Olympos and Çıralı are villages with treehouses and beachside pensions, not hotels — driver familiarity with the specific pension matters. Five questions:
- “Olympos or Çıralı — does the driver know the village we’re going to?” Same beach, two villages, different access roads. Olympos drops are off the valley road; Çıralı drops are on the beachfront. Confirm the right entry.
- “Do you know our specific pension?” Kadir’s, Bayram’s, Saban (Olympos); Olympos Lodge, Hotel Canada, Arcadia (Çıralı). Local drivers usually know all of them. Out-of-town drivers occasionally don’t.
- “Can we add a Mt Chimaera (Yanartaş) drop on arrival?” If you’re landing late afternoon and want to see the eternal flames at dusk, the driver can drop bags at the pension first then continue to the Yanartaş trailhead car park (10 min) for €10–15 more.
- “Will the same operator take us back to Antalya / on to Demre next?” If your itinerary continues west (Demre, Myra, Kekova, then Kaş), some operators handle the onward leg cheaper than booking fresh in-village.
- “Are dietary needs OK if you stop for dinner mid-route?” Some operators include a lokanta stop on long runs. If you’re vegetarian/vegan/coeliac, flag at booking — the right stop differs.
